League of Conservation Voters (’84-’86) - Seattle, Washington - Organizational Founder, Administrator: As one of a team of four, founded the Seattle League of Conservation Voters, a Political Action Committee of 25 paid staff, 200 active volunteers, and an annual budget grossing a half million self-produced dollars. Responsible for demographics, targeting and outreach, precinct organizing, voter mobilization and GOTV strategies, special event fundraising, accounting, payroll, and election commission reporting, management and supervision of paid and volunteer staff, organizational development and capacity building.
Community Action Network (’82-’84) - North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York - Canvasser, Field Manager, Regional Trainer: Fundraising and canvassing as a field manager and later regional management consulting in the campaign offices of Community Action Network organizations in nine major cities of five east coast states. Performed staff development and training activities, and assisted with administrative capacity building.
