Intro Statement
I'm a Capacity Building Specialist with experience in the private sector, domestic and foreign governments, and international NGO's (non-governmental organizations).
I have a background in social work and I studied psychology and disaster management.
One area of specialization is Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, where I've worked in the United States, Africa and Southeast Asia. My base of experience in this field is broad, I have received extensive training in the areas of community education, disaster mitigation, community planning, emergency housing operations, and public health related disaster mitigation.
Examples of my professional contributions include: unique and highly innovative HIV/AIDS outreach and prevention strategies among emerging target populations; and groundbreaking research in the special protection of women and children in global disaster management and planning.
